for some context I'm going to school for autobody/collision repair and I'm planning to use it for painting and running paint guns and some air tools but mostly paint guns.so I decide I'm gonna try to fix it myself but then I find out that I need a 240 volt outlet and installing one is out of the question for me currently.so I've seen some guys that take old tanks and hook up to other compressors and it increases the capacity.my main question is how practical is buying a new 120v compressor and hooking it up to the tank from the husky or is it even possible to take like a 30 gallon compressor and connecting that tank to it making a 90 gallon capacity, can I do it that and keep everything else on the 30 gallon compressor (motor, pump, belt, etc) and still use it with a 120v outlet I know this is a very niche question but I'm hoping somebody has some insight or any knowledge they could share with ya boi also if I were to purchase a new compressor and use it or attempt to use it as a host for this bigger tank what compressors do you guys recommend, thanks to everyone that took the time to read and respond. he let me have it for the low low price of FREE.99,it's got a broken motor as far as I know.I though worst case scenario I'll just let it go for free just like he did but if I can get it fixed up I could save some cash in the process it'll do me good.so I looked around and motors are running anywhere from $200-$500.i also called this place that fixes these kinds of things and they told me that if I'm not using it 7 days a week 8hrs a day its not worth fixing and it's better to buy something new.
